Radha Madhav Temple
About Radha Madhav Temple
One of the well-known historical sites in West Bengal is the laterite temple, Radha Madhav Temple, built in the Ek-Ratna style. It honours Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. An old Hindu temple named Radha Madhav Temple may be found in Bishnupur, West Bengal, India, at Dalmadal Para. directly across from the Radha Govinda temple. The daughter-in-law of the tyrannical Mallaraj Gopal Singh Churamoni constructed the shrine in 1737. It honours Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. It is a laterite temple constructed in the Ek-Ratna style, and it is a well-known historical site in West Bengal. The temple has a single spire on its square lower storey, which is capped by a curved roof.
The temple is beautifully ornamented, particularly on the front wall. There isn’t a god inside the temple right now. The temple’s three-arched entrances add to its beauty. Beautifully engraved into the pillars and arches of the temple are some life teachings from the Ramayana and Krishna Leela. The temple’s beauty is enhanced by the modest Do Chala Mandap that is located next to it. The Archaeological Survey of India is making every effort to preserve this monument’s splendour. Visitors must obtain entry tickets from Rasmancha in order to enter the temple; otherwise, they will not be permitted.
